1）Paleoclimate reconstruction (including temperature, vegetation and hydrology) on the tectonic and orbital scale in the Chinese Loess Plateau since Quaternary based on biomarkers (like GDGTs and n-alkanes) and related isotopes.

2）Using biomarkers records and molecular clocks to study the geological origin and evolution of Epimedium - producing microorganisms.
